Landscaping for Water Quality in the Sunapee Area
Thursday, March 29, 2018 to Friday, March 30, 2018
 

Participants will learn how to use ecological landscape practices including rain gardens, vegetative buffers, and other green infrastructure to infiltrate stormwater and absorb pollutants, protecting our lakes, rivers and streams. Instructors are faculty and specialists from UNH Cooperative Extension and NH Dept. of Environmental Services. 

Who Should Attend?

•Landscape designers, contractors and maintenance professionals working around Lake Sunapee or in nearby watersheds. If you hire a landscaper, encourage them to attend!

•Key members of watershed groups, conservation commissions and others who want to understand ecological approaches to landscaping for water quality protection.

•Parks, schools, property owners and others involved in landscaping and development, especially in shore land zones or other sensitive areas.

•Students in environmental and landscape programs (scholarships available).

•Others involved in regional water quality protection programs and policy.
